You can call me Lupita, i am a Mexican living in Houston Texas. I carry with me the all the things i love from my culture and pass them to my sons and grand sons. Mexican cuisine for me is simplicity, and simplicity is were most of the most beautiful things are found. I am not a professional cook, but i love cooking anything that awakens imagination, i am passionated about food and different flavors, create my own recipes and experiment with different ones.
I cook for friends and family for many reasons, but mostly for love.

I am here to share. Food and cooking is something that we all have in common.

My goal has always been to cook like a chef. I've a long way to go and a lot to learn but my girls say I make the best PB&J sandwich hands down. There's no one more important to please then them.

I love cooking as well as eating. I have a blog in Hungarian and I have a plan to continue my blog in English - paprikawoman - to publish Hungarian and other recipes and experience about making food. I am not a meat fan.I love quality ingredients.

After losing my eyesight to celiac disease in 2008, I have tried everything I can to expand my knowledge of cooking to free myself from the gluten-free cage that most of us live in :D

I live by the GlutenFreeLifestyle series for explaining how to alter ANY recipe and just general baking knowledge for the gluten-free community!

I love to cook. There is nothing better than sharing food with family and friends. Now, the food is actually palatable. Thank you Rouxbe, I'm learning.

I grew up in the UK and traveled around Europe at an early age. I have always loved everything about food, the ritual, the community of it all and of course the taste! there is nothing that I don't like other than processed food that is.
Working in a good professional kitchen is always very exciting, the people you work with, the events..the food! it all leads to a very satisfying place to be.
I think myself very lucky to have experienced so much of it all.

because i can't afford to eat out as much as i would like, i am slowly teaching myself how to cook the dishes i have only been able to enjoy vicariously at a distance.

and when i am feeling particularly proud of myself and the sun is blessing me with it's camera-loving rays, i'll take a picture of my dish for posterity's sake, so that i may drool at it at a later date.

Growing up on a ranch in Northern California and surrounded by Italian relatives, I didn't have a chance, cooking is in my blood. We grew and raised and made a lot of what we ate and the rest came from other farmers and ranchers in the area. Then hunting and fishing, in the Sierra Nevada, The Coastal Range and the Sonoma and Mendocino coast rounded out what we did and what we cooked. Oh Ya, and a lot of hard work on the ranch. What could be better!

Ever since I can remember, food has played a huge role in my life and it is more of a way of living than a job. My love for great food started with my passion for eating good food, as my mom was a great cook! This blossomed into me wanting to learn how to cook and impress my friends. I have long stopped trying to impress my friends, instead I look forward to our gatherings as social events where we share each others company. Everyone pitches in and we mingle over wine, while putting together a summer BBQ, or an autumn slow cooking evening of braised short ribs. Whatever the occasion I always get excited thinking about the great food and wine that will be consumed!
