Smoothie recipes

Does anyone have some good smoothie recipes.

K A

Try this ....

I don't know if you will consider it a smoothie but I think it is ;D

in a blender blend together orange juice , ripe bananas , a little bit of sugar if you want and some ice.

PLEASE don't try to add anything else :D !!!! try this first then decided if you want to add anything, although it's very simple it tastes great .

I don't have a recipe for that just blend anything and adjust, if you find it too thick add some orange juice and if it's too thin just add some bananas.

I freeze all of my ripe bananas and use them in smoothies. I love to put them in the blender with soy milk and peanut butter and a little flax oil.

makes a great breakfast or snack! My kids love it!

Hi Ariana, what a great idea on freezing the bananas, I would never think of that, I've never frozen bananas before.

Re: Smoothie Recipes

If you search smoothies in the "search" field you will find two other recipes for smoothies - one is a Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie and the other one is a for a Strawnberry, Pineapple and Banana Smoothie.

Does anyone have a recipe that does not have citrus? Also is there any milk free recipes?

Re: Smoothies

You can do a smoothie without citrus and even milk...really you don't even need a recipe. Simple blend your favorite fruit with some sort of liquid, such as soy milk. You can also add a few ice cubes when you blend to make it more slushy.

Favorite smoothie.

I really like this combination: 1 sm carrot, 1 large handful spinach, 1/2 large banana, 1/2 cup partially thawed blueberries, 4 partially thawed sugar free strawberries, 1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt, 1 cup vanilla soy milk, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 Tablespoon brewers yeast, 1/2 Tablespoon fresh ground golden flax. This is my breakfast 2 or three mornings a week. If there are any leftover's I freeze it in popsicles. Talk about healthy!

smoothies

My smoothies consist of a ripe banana, yogurt, and frozen fruit (plums, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, peaches, nectarines, etc). A little protein powder, spinach or even cooked carrots do not hurt
