An intersting site

This site cites actual, scientific studies that show why you shouldn't feel guilty about using butter in your cooking, eating marbled steak, or indeed eating anything that tastes good due to natural fat content.

It is a good site to visit, especially if you have suspected a lot of the popular dietary theories of being pseudo-science, or at least said to yourself "Hey, wait a second..." when confronted by something that doesn't quite make sense. Like for instance, the "French Paradox," where it is documented that the people of France eat a diet much higher in saturated fats, but suffer much less heart disease than the people of America, for instance.

Oh, and if you don't like soy substitutes, like "tofurkey" and the like, it's also a great site to peruse. You'll like it. :)

For those of you who have bought into current dietary dogma, which states, for example, that beer can't make you fat because there is no fat in it, I would encourage you to check your preconceptions at the door, and really consider what you will find there.

Once you have, feel free to disagree with me if you must, but please back your opinions with actual science, instead of the pseudo-science that states, for example, that everyone, no matter their body mass, level of activity, and so on, needs to drink 64oz of water every day.

Fellow Weston A Pricer here :D

I know what you're saying. I have Dr. Price's book with its incredible photos which show the results in body and especially facial structure in peoples with different diets. I'm convinced, and we're putting our money where our mouth is quite literally. Since we discovered WAP last year, everyone in our family has become healthier, we almost don't get sick anymore, and health problems that have plagued us for years are disappearing.

As an additional resource, I would like to recommend the book Deep Nutrition by Dr. Cate Shanahan. She is a medical doctor here in New Hampshire who actually teaches her patients nutrition to aid in healing medical issues. She presents Weston A Price's work in her book, and gives some very good reasons to follow a WAP way of eating. Her book is about epigenetics, how what you eat will change your genes for better or for worse as well as those of your children and grandchildren. The pictures say it all. I highly recommend it. She also has a website with a blog: www.drcate.com.
