About water quality

I moved about 4 years ago and we installed a water filtering system in our new home. At this same time, my rice pan started to produce an undesirable effect, namely the rice on the bottom of the pan turned brown. Thinking that it was the pan which was by then quite old, I bought a new one but this phenomenon continued.
Can anyone give me advice on this. Do specific chemicals in the water affect rice in this way. I also noticed a different taste in my chicken broth which I have been making for years. I tried using bottled water but that does not really seem to help in either situation.
I am open to any suggestion because I have have exhausted my own ideas.

re: about water quality

Did you get a new stove when you moved? All flames are not created equal! In my experience, when this happens it simply means the rice has been over cooked. The chicken broth could also be linked to this, depending on how you prepare it.

electric rice cooker

I do indeed have a new stove but my observation is when using an electric rice cooker. I've tried several models also. Sorry that I did not explain that well
