Videos not loading fast enough
I have 3mbps cable modem connection but I have a lot of trouble viewing the videos. YouTube seems to stream fast enough.
How do you black the blank and doesn't blank do blank? Questions? Bring it on.
Click on the link below. You will see a broadband speed test section appear in the upper left hand section of your screen. The test will take up to 30 seconds to complete. Try it a few times as the numbers will vary slightly.
The number that appears at the end of the test is your connection speed. It needs to be greater than about 600 kbps (most broadband is over 2,000 kbps).
I get between 900kbps and 2.4Mbps when I do the test. However there are times when the main links going out of my country may be getting saturated (usually between 6pm and midnight) when the rate probably goes lower. When this happens on Youtube the easiest thing to do is press pause and wait for the video to load. On the Rouxbe player this does not work and the intermittent playback is very annoying. Also, moving the slider seems to jam things up forcing me to reload the video completely. It does this on my desktop iMac, Macbook and the iPad.
