Madame Benoit Egg Nog Recipe

6 egg yolks, 1 c. maple syrup, 1 c. rum, 1 c. grand marnier, grated rind of 1 orange, 1/2 c. brandy, 6 c. milk, 1 vanilla bean, 3 c. cream, 6 egg whites beaten stiff. serves 20
- beat yolks and syrup w beater and while still beating add rum, g.marnier and brandy. chill 2 hours. Add vanilla bean to milk and let stand for same time. After 2 hours, remove vanilla bean and while stirring, add milk to yolk mix. Whip cream and fold in. Fold in beaten whites. Will stay perfect for 12 to 24 hours. Sprinkle with fresh ground nutmeg to serve. Makes a wonderful desert. As you can see "one glass will do it, 2 is over the top!" Happy Holidays.
