Newbie just saying 'hi'

I posted a couple of days back (the Kir thread) and then realised that I hadn't even said 'hi' first. How rude of me! So... hi!

Perhaps I'm not supposed to be in here? I'm not a fully paid up member - lack of time and money, sob - but I've been an avid watcher of this site for a few weeks now. Just brilliant, and I've already learned loads of tips from the free stuff! Thank you.

I'm a Brit, transplanted into the fertile soils of SW France. We live on duck, duck, a bit more duck, armagnac to wash it down... and I dream of being able to buy stuff like lemongrass or go for a 'proper' Indian meal. Or Oh well, can't have it all! :)
