I discovered these for the first time last night! I have never seen them before. I was wondering what to make with Chicken Marsala and decided on steamed potatoes with herb seasoning.
My wife and I both love steamed baby red potatoes. I go to the produce section to buy them when I noticed a tray of prepackaged potatoes that was labeled potato medley. In the tray were baby reds, baby yukons and these purple potatoes!

Brought them home and steamed them and seasoned with a bit of melted butter and some herbs. The purple potatoes had a excellent potato flavor. Seemed to be more intense than the reds or yukons. Also they had a wonderful purple beet color all the way through that added a nice appearance to the dish!

I have spent alot of time on food web sites reading recipes and blogs and have never seen or heard mention of these potatoes before. What a nice discovery they turned out to be. I would encourage trying them!
