Lesson Description & Goals

Frittatas are delicious, Italian-style omelets. They are easy to make and can be served for breakfast, lunch or even dinner. Because the flavor combinations are virtually endless, frittatas are never boring. Whether you prepare ingredients or peek into the refrigerator to utilize leftovers, frittatas are like a blank canvass ready to accept a variety of textures, colors and flavors.

In this lesson, you will learn how to make delicious and fluffy, frittatas. You will learn how to choose a good pan for making frittatas and how to determine how many eggs to use for the number of people you are serving. You will also learn how to properly prepare the ingredients for a frittata and how much filling to add to achieve a good balance. Finally, you will learn how to cook a frittata to achieve the best texture.
