If you really want to learn how to cook, then you need to practice the concepts taught in this lesson. We've compiled some "edible exercises" along with some supporting recipes that will help reinforce what was taught in this lesson.
Set yourself up with a steaming vessel. Purchase one of the contraptions as shown in the lesson. If you do not want to make an investment at this time, all you need is a pot, a perforated rack and a tight-fitting lid. Many people use heavy-duty, roasting pans which are lined with a rack. Just make sure that the equipment can withstand the high heat of the stove top. You will also need a tight-fitting lid in order to trap the steam. In the next lesson, the basics of steaming are covered.
There are no supporting recipes. Proceed to the quiz or return to the school overview to select another lesson.
