I was born in North Carolina, but have spent most of my life married and in Maryland. I was taught a lot about cooking from the time I was a kid, at my grandmother's home till now and still learning. I enjoy making Southern Cuisine (my heritage), as well as Pennsylvania Dutch (my husband's heritage). I have been in all aspects of food service in our family run restaurant, from age 17 to 37. I enjoy cooking and learning, as well as experimenting.
I raised 2 biological children, 3 adopted children, did therapeutic foster care. I have 16 grandchildren. The youngest lives with us and we share custody of her older brother. We also do daycare for another granddaughter. Number 17 will arrive in September. Life takes some interesting turns!
