Hi Everyone.

My name is Lars. I am from Sweden but lives in the US. I have been living in US since 2000. I love cooking because it is something completely different then my daytime job and allows me to get away from the daily stress. I have always followed recipies, mainly because of lack of confidence. I did feel that I wanted to grow and learn in the kitchen so i could be more creative and understand the why's. I needed to understand the basics. I was on my way to sign up for a cooking class that would have costed me $600.(six lessons, each lesson is 3 hrs) Now i can spend that money on pasta machines, wet stones and more gadgets.(gotta love it)
I first got inspired when I was watching food networks "good eats" with Alton Brown. After coming across Rouxbe on youtube by accident i knew i found what I have been looking for.
