I joined the site because a friend was hired by Rouxbe and I figured I would get acquainted with the product.
I don't cook, or I should say I didn't cook as I couldn't remember the last time I had applied heat to food, but I'm pretty sure I made Mac&Cheese or put a waffle in the toaster for my kids sometime in last year.
Now, I'm hooked on cooking.
With the help of Rouxbe, I'm preparing my own stocks, creating pan sauces for my steaks, resharpening our knives on a whetstone, and starting to deconstruct my meals -- even ordering interesting items on restaurants menus just so I can see how the chef prepared the dish.
Now I'm having a blast learning how to cook with such a high-quality learning system and wonderful staff behind it.
