Neal Barnard, M.D., renowned nutrition researcher and New York Times bestselling author, discussed the connection between dairy consumption and health. In his talk, he shares information about why dairy products should be avoided and expose the elevated risks that eating and drinking dairy products brings to our health. Specific topics included dairy’s role in triggering pain syndromes, contributing to weight gain, and promoting cancer growth.
Dr. Barnard has led several clinical trials investigating the effects of diet on health, including a recent study of dietary interventions in diabetes, funded by the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Neal Barnard is the president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and an adjunct associate professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine.
Dr. Barnard has authored dozens of scientific publications, as well as 15 books for lay readers.
