Step 1: Making the Baguette Toasts

Making the Baguette Toasts

Cut the baguette loaf into 3/4 inch pieces, you can cut them straight (as shown in this picture) or in diagonal form.

Whisk the eggs evenly.

Soak each piece of baguette in the egg batter.

Add butter to a non-stick pan and cook each piece until golden brown (use a low flame in the stove so the eggs won't burn).

Serve 3 or 4 pieces per person in a hot plate.

  • 1/3 loaf baguette
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon butter (for cooking each piece)

Step 2: Making the Bananas Topping

Making the Bananas Topping

Slice the banana.

In a non-stick frying pan, at low temperature, add the butter and the sugar and mix them together for about 10 seconds.

Add the sliced bananas and toss for about a minute, until the butter start to change color.

Serve 1/2 of a banana on each plate.

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon of white sugar
