Hi,
If I make this recipe using slow cooking and lower temperature (let's say braising recommended 200F instead of 350F in original recipe) I am worry about power of lemon and how is going to affect the final result (white part of zest could maybe bitter the dish).
It's better use the yellow part of the zest only?
Thanks a lot,
JJ
I have not personally tried this dish, but it seems to have good comments. As for the slow and low cooking and using all of the lemon, I think that it should still work well. The lower temperature will just mean that you will need to cook the dish for a longer period of time. Hope that helps. Cheers!
Hi,
Thank you Dawn for your answer, I wil try "slow" original recipe....
Best regards, JJ
Hi again,
I cooked chicken for around 02 hours at 250F. Lemon flavour was nice but bitter for me. I had to add some sugar to the sauce to compensate bitterness. Chicken was tender and juicy.
Probably if you cook only for 25 or 30 minutes at 350F like in the original recipe you can get a softer lemon flavour but I love fork tender meat. Next time I will try with lemon zest instead of lemon slices.
Thanks for your help.
Best regards, JJ
