My name is Michael Eng and I have spent the past 30 years as a plumber. I also spend a lot of time in the kitchen since I love to cook. My grandparents owned a coffee shop and I used to work there as a teenager 35 years ago cooking all the menu items which pretty much had pre-made ingredients bought from restaurant supply stores. I now cook using only natural ingredients. No more Restaurant Depot food. My interest at Rouxbe is to better be able to cook from scratch by learning the formal techniques and chemistry of cooking.
