I have been married for 33 years and we have three wonderful cats. Since my husband and I worked opposite shifts I would make "extended" meals which consisted of big batches of soups, casseroles and salads. Great for heat and eat meals but I didn't feel i was learning anything. I'm currently unemployed and am enjoying learning how to make single serving meals. Two aspects of cooking that have always stymied me were using high heat without fear of burning down the house, and properly using a knife. My time at Rouxbe has already helped me conquer both of those fears and I am really beginning to feel like a cook!
