BIO---JO ANNE DYCK ---TEACHING CHEF

Jo developed her love of cooking while in college earning her Bachelor of Education. A native of Toronto Canada, she moved to Cincinnati in 1994 with her family.
While in Toronto, she enjoyed many cooking courses including the well known Brown School of Cooking.
Always an entrepreneur, Jo owned and operated “Gatherings” a private party catering service and cooking school.
After taking time off to raise and home school her three children, Jo returned to her love of cooking and opened Cocojo’s Handmade Truffles . For the past 2 years she has sold her truffles, facilitated Chocolate Tasting Parties and recently began teaching chocolate education in Pre Schools and Summer Camps.
Over 3 years ago Jo started a monthly “Girls Luncheon Group” specifically to experiment with new recipes and draw her friends into the wonderful world of cooking and entertaining. She is currently working on a Cookbook, “Ladies Who Lunch” based on these wonderful get-togethers.

From May 2009-11 Jo worked as a Teaching Chef at The Learning Kitchen in West Chester, Ohio.
She enjoyed the hands on model of teaching cooking. Some of the types of classes she held were; Food Network Episodes, Julia Child French Cooking, Italian Cooking, Chocolate Making and Vegetarian/Vegan Cooking.

In 2012 Jo and Stan moved up to Oakwood,Ohio. In 2014 they opened The Little City Cooking School, a hands on cooking school in Oakwood, Ohio . www.thelittlecitycookingschool.com
Jo is happily teaching,cooking and enjoying life.

Jo’s goals are to seek out more opportunities to learn and teach in the culinary world and to continue to surround herself with those who share her love of cooking .
