I have always loved cooking and appreciate the art of putting a meal together. However, most of my cooking is done following recipes and not really understanding the science of cooking. I recently ruptured my achilles tendon and so I'm going to take my recovery time to learn the skills it takes to become a solid home cook and understand how everything works in a kitchen. What happens beyond that is anyones guess but it should be a blast!
