Can you share any tips on catering an out of town event?

Answer:

You know off campus catering or off-site catering, you know versus on site catering which is utilizing our own Kitchen in our own facility. Okay, but as soon as we have to transport food to a different site, we call it off site catering and actually now that you ask this question, I'm gonna answer this in a couple of different ways because I'm reading a couple of different things here. So one would be that you're prepping food in your own kitchen, but you transporting it to a different location and that could be out of town could be in town but it's just a different off-site location. Okay, you know in which case the basics of logistics is still going to play a big role as it always does in catering. It's gonna be very important if possible. I considered important to visit this site to look at the Day out to understand your access to utilities and Refrigeration space or freezer space if it's necessary and also the the remainder of the setup, right your prep surfaces, whether it's countertops, or if you're bringing in tables, for example, you want to know all of this stuff ahead of time if possible and this is true of out of town catering as well. And and you know, I have done some catering in different states where I have simply gotten on a plane and flown in and I've done all my shopping there. And have been you know relegated to basically whatever I can scrounge up in terms of a flat surface to to do prep on and it can be more or less Pleasant depending on what you have access to it would be nice to get on the phone to talk to somebody at the other end. If you're not able to visit the site in order to run through a list of questions, you know around the access to these different amenities and and utilities and Facilities. Okay, so that you can then best design a menu right or alter the dishes that your host might request to best fit the possibilities and limitations okay of that environment. Okay. So those are a few things that come to mind, but I'll follow up with you again. All right. Thank you.
