Question:

What is the difference between heavy cream and whipping cream? Can they be used interchangeably?

— Robert Miller

Answer:

I know heavy whipping cream and heavy cream and heavy wood and whip and cream. I'm pretty sure that the whipping cream is designed specifically to have more air into it, but I'm being plant-based as long as I am really not the person to ask on this one. Let me just do it quick search to see but yeah, it's just kind of a you know, I think it's a lower fat content or something. Oh, yeah, here it is. It had a whipping cream and contrast a whipping cream has a slightly lower milk fat content 30 to 30 to 36 percent. We're heavy cream has no less than 36% fat. So that's really the difference between those two and can they be use interchangeably? Yes, they're both versatile all-purpose product for adding the creamy elements to sauces and desserts. Yeah a little bit out of my wheelhouse because I don't use either of those products personally, but that's kind of the difference is the fat concept between them. And they can be used interchangeably.
