Question:

For following a recipe for bread, if I double the recipe, do I need to increase the oven temperature for that? If I'm using two racks instead of one, are there specific concerns for the different loaves?

— Joy Rabb

Answer:

The temperature differential between the top rack the middle rack the bottom rack is going to be different and you can find out how different in your particular oven by putting thermometers in these different places I don't know your particular oven you shouldn't really need to increase the temperature of the bake, but I would say watch your breads carefully and if they're taking too long. Much longer than the recipe. Is indicating you might want to put the temperature up but I wouldn't put it up too high. I wouldn't put it up too high. So good luck with that.
