Question:
Should extra firm tofu recieve a dry or wet marinade before it is breaded and air fried and added to a stir fried dish?
— Chris Dunmall
Answer:
And I think most of you know that Benjamin Franklin is responsible for bringing the idea of tofu to America and living in Philadelphia. I kind of feel as though tofu is more important than a Cheesesteak or a pretzel. So should extra firm tofu receive a dry or wet marinade before it is breaded and air fried. So I'm a person who likes very very dry tofu. The drier the more delicious it is I also like a tofu that has a lot of flavor. So I would suggest I'm not sure what size you're cutting your steaks or cubes into but I think a marinade is always the best way to add lots of flavor to your tofu. I'm also a person that likes to drain their tofu in a dish towel kitchen towel in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to get out some of that extra moisture, but afterwards marinated, then I would use the dry rub then I would bake with it and I think that it would be a most successful dish and I feel as though I have become the tofu mediator. So I'm curious to hear how this dish comes out for you, but I say marinade With dry rub and I'm going to stick to that.
