Question:
What is the ratio of baking soda to water when cleaning fruits and vegetables?
— Andrea Ryan
Answer:
I use vinegar instead of baking soda because I had found long ago that when you do use baking soda, even if you wipe them, well, it can leave that dry white silt which discourages people from wanting to eat it. So if you have a quart of water, I would add a tablespoon of white vinegar and let the vegetables or fruit soak in those. So that's my recommendation. I've never I'm not I'm not a fan of baking soda, but I would use probably the same ratio a quart of water to a tablespoon of baking soda. Gotta get that those fruits and vegetables clean.
