After soaking mushrooms to reconstitute, how can water be used? Is it worth freezing? Is it truly safe to consume?

Answer:

That is the byproduct of reconstituting dried mushrooms, uh, is very flavorful, and it can be used any place you want a flavorful liquid, you know, think about how you might use stock. But in this case, um, with a, um, probably a more concentrated flavor profile, right? That's, um, aligned with mushrooms. But of course, you can change the quantity. Um, so, uh, you know, you can, you can use, um, the mushroom water in soups and stews and, and again, different places where you might need, uh, or want a flavorful liquid, okay? Go into making a dough, a bread dough of some sort, if you wanted to, for example. Uh, is it worth freezing? Uh, it's worth freezing. If you, uh, place value on that, uh, product. Um, we will very often freeze stock, uh, because we find value in that flavorful liquid. So if you value the flavor of the mushroom, uh, water, then sure. Uh, contain, you know, consider freezing it and, uh, using it in your cooking. Excuse me, just a moment. Uh, and then the, the last part of your question is, is it truly safe to consume? And, um, uh, well, I, I don't, I don't know why it wouldn't be necessarily, but if you have a con, if you have a, a specific concern, um, you know, you might wanna send a sample to a lab and have them test it for whatever, uh, they might test it for, uh, or whatever you might have a concern for. Um, you know, uh, you might again, uh, refer to Dr. Google, uh, do some searching and see if, uh, you can find any concerns, uh, around mushroom water. Um, no, no concerns come to mind necessarily for me. Um, but again, take, take a look at that, if that concerns you. Thank you.
