What is the best way to store ginger and turmeric roots?

Answer:

I have had, um, pretty good, pretty good success, um, storing these, you know, in the fridge. Uh, this is where one of those drawers comes in handy. Um, now the other part of this is to use these items pretty quickly, um, because they will start to lose moisture, uh, and they, you know, start to shrivel up on you. And then another thing is, um, they will start to, to grow mold. And, um, you know, in the case of mold, um, trim it off, scrub it off. Oftentimes it's on the surface with the skin, and you can just, uh, kind of peel off all that and, and, and still use the product. That's, uh, quite fine, at least, uh, in my home. Um, but, uh, that's, you know, what comes to mind for me, the, the thing with food is it's best when it's eaten fresh, uh, which means, uh, sooner the better. And if you can buy smaller quantities, uh, to avoid the longer term degradation of quality, then your results are gonna be better, in my opinion. Okay.
