Question:
How would you notice if you were not getting enough protien?
— Sally Dunkin
Answer:
So one of the one of the You look in you're losing muscle mass and you're losing some of the Integrity of your muscular system. So that would that would be an Evidence of a protein deficiency. You could also validate that on lab work where you can look at albumin levels and total protein and you can see that you approach your body was not getting enough protein that you're actually protein deficient. Um, it's very rare today for people not to get enough protein if they're really eating enough calories from a whole food plant-based diet. We may see that in somebody eating lots of junk food where they're not getting sufficient sources of protein, but protein deficiency in the United States is very rare. It does appear sometimes in you know, malnourished children and elderly. So those are the two places that you know, I would be suspicious. But you know largely it's it's not very common. So either lab work or if you notice that you're having some issues, you know with your muscle mass. I would just recommend seeing the physician. They can do some lab work and do a good evaluation.
