Question:
I've read raw cashews are not safe. Is the milk, cream, and butter safe?
— Cynthia Dudak
Answer:
Yeah, raw cashews are actually fine to eat. Um, I've done it for years in, uh, cashew creams, um, using just simply raw cashews. Um, I'm not sure why where you've read that they're not safe, but I've never known them not to be safe. So the milk, the cream and the butter are all safe. Um, and that garlic butter that I was talking about, if you do cashews with the garlic and stuff like that too, it's a wonderful way to be able to use those as well. And you, you're baking those off too, so if you're worried about something with that, you're cooking it at the same time. But from my understanding, I've never known anything to be wrong with the raw cashews. I eat them regularly inside of my family.
