Question:

The hand whisk is for mixing but also adding air? For mixing can a traditional spoon for eating do the same? What's the deal about wooden spoon for mixing in pots?

— ingrid ortega

Answer:

A spoon is not typically going to get you the air into something, but a fork will, A fork will actually help a little bit. So a whisk hand whisk is great. It's a great tool that does help to mix, but it's really for getting air into things and helping to combine things very well. So the spoon wouldn't work as well, but um, if you're trying to get air into it, the fork would do better, especially with the tongs on it as well. It's not gonna work as well as a whisk, but it will work over time. Just gonna take a lot more elbow grease on that. And what's the deal about wooden spoon for mixing in pots? You can use any kind of spoon you want or a spatula for mixing into pots. There. There are a couple areas where wooden spoons are ideal. Um, you know, for mixing in pots. One is if it's got, uh, you know, inside that could be scratched by using something metal on the inside. Also, if you're doing something on the countertop, putting a wooden spoon on the the stove top actually help from preventing it to boil over if something does. Um, but yeah, I'm not a hundred percent sure what sure on that one, but, um, those are my suggestions.
