Question:
I have a recipe for a baked sweet potato pie that calls for tapioca flour. I have oat, almond, and chickpea flour. Do you think I could use the oat (?) flour to substitute for the tapioca flour?
— Cynthia Dudak
Answer:
Um, maybe, you know, I'm, I'm not sure, you know, um, I, I, I say maybe because, uh, tapioca flour is, is sticky, and it's going to, uh, provide some structure, uh, to that pie that you're making. And oat flour also has a stickiness to it, right? So it might be able to act as a substitute, uh, for the tapioca flour. Um, certainly, uh, better than the other two options. I, I would say. So give that a try and see how you like the results.
