Question:
Can I use another type of mushroom if I can’t find cremini?
— Renee Munoz
Answer:
Yes, you absolutely can. Um, depending on the recipe, uh, cremini are very easily substituted out. So you can use a white button mushroom, you can use a baby bella, you know, instead of the crimini as well. The flavor profiles are very similar, but they act the same way when you're cooking them typically in the same way as well. So if you can't find a crimini mushroom, that's totally okay. Um, you know, using a white button, um, you know, the baby Bellas, uh, some of those other ones that are a little easier to find at a traditional grocery store, that's totally fine. You can sub substitute those ones out as well. Um, I also, you know, highly encourage you to try different kinds of mushrooms. You know, as you're at the store, um, and you see a mushroom you've not tried before, try mixing it up a little bit. There's so many different kinds of mushrooms. There's so many great, uh, you know, benefits that you can get in out of mushrooms and vitamins outta mushrooms. Um, I try to, you know, include them very regularly in my meals. Um, and I encourage you to do the same.
