Question:
I'm new to vegetarian cooking. I want to be able to make good, tasty food so I can stick with it. Can you share any tips?

Answer:
I always say to do what you know, and by that I mean, if you are a person who likes to eat a big gigantic salad, continue eating the salad. If you're somebody who is trying to make the conversion from eating animal protein to plant protein, start out with beans, uh, start out with making a veggie burger. If you go to the Rouxbe website and just type in Rouxbe Veggie Burger, there's gonna be a recipe for you to try. And that's just a good thing to do. And, um, I think that when you take the dive into a plant-based diet, um, you have to keep an open mind. And one of the reasons is that food might not necessarily look the same as it looked, uh, when you were in the animal kingdom cooking away. So, um, the books that I recommended today are very, very good starters. Um, I also always suggest, uh, the Engine Two Diet by Rip Selten. I always think that that's a really good baseline for jumping into the importance of adding greens, grains and legumes to your diet, because that is the main foundation of following a plant-based diet.
