I made red sauce recently and it was a little bitter. Is adding a sweetener the answer or is there another option?

Answer:
Yeah, um, it's interesting. I'm not, without knowing what you're putting in your red sauce, it's a little tough. You know, a lot of, you know, Italian recipes for red sauce will add just a little bit of sugar into it to offset some of the acidity of the tomato, depending on the tomatoes you're using. Um, but you know, you, you could add a little sweetener to it. You could also do a little carrot puree, like we were talking about earlier on the stock. Might be a good answer to that. But without knowing exactly what's in your sauce, um, it's hard to kinda deconstruct what to, what to talk about and how to make your, uh, sauce less bitter.
