Question:

Would vacuum sealing and freezing green leafy vegetables ruin them once I want to use them?

— Victoria Wright

Answer:

Aha. so When you say ruin Victoria, I guess it depends on what you want to use them for now. Once we freeze an item, I mean this case fruits and vegetables. Right water expands right when it's frozen and it will rupture cell membranes such that when when it when we saw it. It's sort of collapses the water escapes and that's why we have soft food after it's been put through the freeze thaw cycle. Okay. Now at that point, I mean, we're probably not going to make a fresh salad out of it. Right but you can certainly use that product in in a soup or a stew or you know chopped up or pureed in some sort of a format, you know, some sort of an application. And so I think there are many ways that you can use your your leafy greens, but just understand that they're going to be sort of in a cooked State chopped up or pureed and you know, they can I think be used quite nicely and how lucky you are to have a bumper crop of leafy greens, right? So I wish you all the best as you exper. Meant and otherwise just have fun incorporating your leafy greens into your diet. Thank you.
