Question:
How can we start applying the principles of culinary medicine with fruits in our everyday lives?
— Jimmy Luong
Answer:
It's making sure we're getting two to three servings of fruit a day. At least two cups, if not three, depending on how healthy or if we're struggling with things more like three. So I would say work with yourself and make sure that that is what you're doing. And my biggest lesson is eat a variety of fruit. Don't make it too complicated in terms of which ones do I do for this and which ones do I do for that. Just get a, a whole host of them because we don't know the majority of a hundred thousand phytonutrients. And so who knows what you're getting? We don't know the whole everything that you're getting. So if you get a bunch of colors in your fruit every day, that's the number one thing to learn to do is have a variety of fruit, keep the skin on it, try and not, and and avoid the um, the juice unless that's your only option.
