What are your thoughts on using Plant Based prepared packaged foods?

— Linda GOLDOJARB

Answer:

I think more importantly, what do you think about it, right? What's your food philosophy, uh, you know, around these things? Um, you know, I I will say that, um, I I try to use, um, you know, whole ingredients and I, you know, cut 'em down or, you know, cook 'em and, you know, prepare 'em in, in some fashion. But, uh, you know, when it comes to, you know, these convenience foods, these, these prepared foods, um, um, do they ever end up in the house? Eh, sure. Uh, do I pre prefer them? No. You know, as I mentioned, I prefer, you know, real fruits and vegetables and grains and legumes and this sort of thing. Um, but, but that's only based upon, you know, my lifestyle and, and my value set. And I think, uh, you know, Linda, you know, you really need to think about what it is that's gonna be, um, most important to you. Um, you know, you know, we talk about, uh, packaged foods and, and generally speaking, you'll have some sort of a preservative that goes into there, not to mention, it's, it's processed to some extent or another. You got the packaging right, and the landfill waste, um, that's, that's associated with that. And so there, you know, there are these other, uh, facets, uh, to, to, uh, uh, buying, uh, prepared and, and packaged foods, um, uh, whether they're plant-based or, or otherwise. And so, again, I, I hope you'll take some time to think about, you know, what it is that, uh, that you wanna do. What sort of a a footprint do you wanna leave behind, you know, each day, um, as you go through your process of cooking?
