Question:
What do you like to serve for Thanksgiving especially if some guests do not follow a WFPB lifestyle?
— Melissa Bryant
Answer:
When I first went to my very first engine two immersion in Austin, Texas many years ago, and Essel was talking about Thanksgiving and I remember thinking, oh my gosh, how can you have Thanksgiving without a Turkey? Then I have come to find that beautiful root vegetables that kobocha squash, lots of rice dishes, beautiful, beautiful bountiful vegetables, a gravy I had make Satan from scratch using, um, an easy recipe in the back of the engine two cookbook. And it's the easiest recipe I know. However, I will say that the best recipe is the barbecue brisket Satan recipe that is in the Plant Pro course because that is a beautiful, beautiful piece of Satan. But you can make a really delicious Turkey gravy, lots of poultry, spices, et cetera, et cetera, lots of breads, uh, cranberry, walnut bread, orange bread, muffins, cornbread, et cetera, et cetera. It becomes a big bounty. You know, you can make exactly what it is that you make for Thanksgiving, but with, without the, um, animal portion to your meal. And it will still be a delicious and lovely meal. And what happens if you get invited to someone's house? You take a couple of excellent side dishes and a beautiful, beautiful crustless pumpkin pie that comes out almost like a pumpkin flon that everybody will devour.
