Question:
Is toasted quinoa considered cooked? Can you cook toasted quinoa to make it fluffier to be used in, for example, the 50/50 plate?
— Maria Allen
Answer:
I'm not sure what the 50 50 plate is, but uh, you know, if you do toast it, you can cook it more in water to make it fluffier. It'll just have that kind of toasted flavor, which is totally fine. So if that's what your end result is, yeah, otherwise it'll be like a, almost like a breadcrumb if you just have it just a toasted where it's not fluffy at all. Um, but yeah, put a little bit more water into it and then cook it off. You can still get the nutty kind of, you know, with it and then add more water to it to be able to fluff it out.
