Do you have any quick ways to process a head of cauliflower?
Answer
I'm gonna just show you something that I have now been using because I love to make, uh, cauliflower wings, but sometimes the task of removing all of the florets seems to take so much time. So here's the trick. You take some cauliflower, you put it in a bag or wrap it in saran wrap or whatever you choose to, to use. And then you hold it tightly inside this bag and you bang it down, and then you turn it at a 90 degree angle and you bang it down again and you bang it about four or five times. Now, here's where the true kitchen magic takes place, and hopefully this works. Here we go. Whoops, I didn't hit it hard enough, but what I wanna show you is that this all falls out. I should have hit it one more time, but it just all falls out and it's perfect sizes. And then you can take all of these beautiful leaves and use them to make a lovely stock. Or I love to roast the cauliflower leaves and then make them into a puree or a, to use an a pasta dish with some garlic and some nutritional yeast. And if you have taken our waste nut course, you know that full food utilization is one of the ways that we're going to save the planet. So bang it down four or five times with every ounce of your body into that, that throw down. And, uh, that's a great way to, uh, get your, your cauliflower in shape.
