Question
Toni Crawford
I know i heard oil is bad but if someone wants to use oil which oil would you say is best, Avocado, grape seed oil or olive oil?
Answer
I will tell you that I spent a week on an olive farm last year, last October in southern Italy, near where my grandparents are from in Poya. The one thing that you wanna make sure if you are going to eat or use oil in your cooking is that it is single origin. Sometimes you'll go to the grocery store and you'll see a magnificent bottle of olive oil, and then it will say countries of origin and it will list five countries. So listing one farmer on the bat, on the back of an olive oil bottle is your best bet. But I'm not really qualified to answer the question of, of your variety there because oil is just something that I have learned to, um, to cook without. So that's that. But it's a great question for the record, Tony. I stayed in a town called Moola Dari at a farm called Cucina in Maia. And it was the best week of my life because I got to see all of the beautiful recipes that my grandparents taught us to make. And I made my own food and I made it without oil. And interestingly enough, Dr. Selten's book, prevent and Reverse Heart Disease has been translated into Italian and I have a copy of it, and next time I go to Italy, I'm definitely taking it with me. Thank you so much for the good question.
