How do I decide what flavorful liquid or herbs and spices to finish roasted vegetables with?
Answer
Salad dressing, uh, spices, herbs, uh, you can grate, uh, with a microplane. Things like fresh garlic, you can use a little bit of nutmeg. I think that, you know, it always comes back to what do you like to eat? What are your favorite flavor senses? So the other thing that you could use is, uh, if you're making, let's say a tide dish or something like that, using, uh, making a peanut butter or sauce of some kind, and that's easy peasy. It would be peanut butter or peanut butter flour, some rice wine vinegar, and a little bit of either tamari soy sauce or brag amino to give you that salty flavor and mix them up and, uh, then you can pour it on there. We had spoken about, uh, cauliflower earlier about letting it marinate in those things as well. So, um, again, going back to finding things that you like and making sure that your oven has that right temperature, because if your vegetables are roasted really well and caramelized beautifully, you're gonna really notice the sugar, uh, in those vegetables and how good they taste. But I like that lemon vinegarette that I me mentioned earlier as well.
