Question:
Can blood sugar spikes lead to feelings of anxiety and irritability?
— Michael Baun
Answer:
Well, it's not so much Michael the spike, but when it starts to come down, absolutely it's, I liken it to when you drink a bunch of alcohol and then you start to um, you get a hangover like it starts to go through your system and that's when the anxiety and the irritability kick in. So alcohol and sugar have, are very similar in terms of their euphoric effects on us and definitely spiking your blood sugar and having the then come crashing down will lead definitely to anxiety and irritability. Michael, you don't wanna be around me when I've had a lot of chocolate.
