Question:
What is a well stocked pantry and what about expiration dates on these types of items?
— Tena Kuftinec
Answer:
Well, we do a pantry re reset in all of our Rouxbe courses and you know, pantry, it's stocking your pantry and keeping it straight. That really is a work in progress. You know, I go through my fridge and freezer and I go through my pantry on a pretty regular basis. I use a label. I look at the expiration date I write when I am looking for my baking pattern, usually on a can of baking pattern, I will write, yeah, this says 3 18 24 when I got it. And um, if you store you, you have to think about how you're storing things too, in terms of the expiration dates. So many pantry staples and a V essential vegan desserts pantry would not look very different at all from any baker's pantry. So you wanna keep your cocoa powder and your chocolates really well sealed away from heat, away from, um, you know, strong odors. I like these cambro containers, but, and sometimes a jar will do so that's what, that's what I think you should do.
