What is a good base for tomato-free, gluten-free chili?

Answer:
Well, chili should be gluten-free. Chili is bean based, so therefore it's gluten-free. And I would look for, you know, I don't always use tomatoes when I make chili. You can do a nice vegetable base chili without tomatoes or look up that no tomato sauce, no tomato sauce.
