How do you know how much of an herb or spice to add if you're not following a recipe?

Answer:
So if you're not following a recipe, this is a learning curve, Diane, you're gonna start to see how pungent different herbs and spices are. So when I am looking at adding, let's say, some oregano to me, that has a high strong taste to it, so I'll use less of it than if I was to use something like, um, dill or thyme. But again, it's, it's how I approach the herbs and spices and which ones I find more powerful and which ones I wanna have come through In maximizing flavor, there's actually a whole chapter on herbs and spices and how to build your blends so that you, um, you'll be able to figure that out more easily.
