Question:

For someone new to cooking, can you recommend some good choices and brands for a cutting knife, pot and pan?
— Mark Rappaport
Answer:
I do not use non-stick pans and I don't go, I can't afford the high expensive pans, so I usually use, this is called cooking with kef kelon. So if things, if there's a coating on here that can flick off, you don't wanna be eating that. So getting something that has a stainless steel surface is one thing. And for cutting knives, I actually just did a whole podcast on this, you don't have to spend a lot of money. You can get a chef's knife for like $20, but you definitely want a chef knife, a hairy knife, and a serrated knife. 'cause those are really, um, important. Um, and you can do most everything in the kitchen with just those three types of knives.
