What’s a small ingredient that makes a big difference in cookie flavor?

Answer:

Well, if I had to choose, um, one ingredient, right, that applies to a lot of different cookies, it would probably be vanilla and vanilla in its real form, right? Not an imitation vanilla, but, uh, just vanilla in its real form. However you might use it. It could be a pod, it, it, maybe it's vanilla paste or, uh, you know, a different market form. But use the real thing, and it's gonna bring a nice aroma. And aroma is the other side of the coin from flavor. And that goes a long way in creating a context for the other flavors and tastes. Um, vanilla can mellow out the edges of other ingredients that might have a little bit of boldness or, or sharpness to them. Um, but otherwise, uh, you know, more specifically, you need to take a look at what it is that you're producing, and I think you're gonna find, um, what could work best in that particular context.
