Question:

Is there a gluten free, whole grain flour that could be used for baking? I looked on line and it’s a little confusing.

— Anna Marie Trotman

Answer:

In fact, Anna, there's a lot of different gluten-free whole grain flour that are out there. There are companies that's like really, um, zero in on that to be able to make that their specialty. And you can find all kinds of different, um, all-purpose gluten flour that are made from different things like oat flour or, um, you know, you can look for like some of the ancient grains or flax or stuff like that as well too. Uh, brown rice flour, coconut flour. Um, there's a huge host of different whole grain flour that are out there to be able to, um, do gluten-free with, um, you know, some of the more traditional ones would be like the King Arthurs and stuff like that as well. I'm not, I'm, I'm sure they make a whole grain one, but just their standard gluten-free, you know, like bread flour and stuff like that is going to be processed as well too. So, um, but yeah, there are a lot of different, uh, gluten-free whole grains out there. Um, and depending on what you're making, it's usually, uh, what you want to kind of switch between them on. Um, you know, switching between if you're making like a muffin or a cookie or a cake or something, um, would be what the core ingredient would be switched up as.
