What is the best sugar substitute and why?

Answer:

So I am not a baker. I don't necessarily I don't understand nearly as well as someone like our Dear friend here as the part of the Rouxbe family understands baking and sugar substitutions. my favorite I live in Maine. And I just happen to have some right in front of me, Maine maple syrup. Why because I make my own. And it smells really Smoky sweet incredible because I do it outside and open fire in February when it's wonderful to have a reason to be outside. So I put maple syrup on just about everything. I don't really use much sugar. I use that Maple Syrup and Honey sort of play that same role in that they add a lot of flavor to whatever your substituting it sugar for. So Agave is similar so that you're really adding that that point in potent flavor of those ingredients. So just be mindful of that. But those are my top three and really what I use.
